Privacy Policy
Last updated: 9 September 2026
Translations Global takes the confidentiality of your documents and personal data seriously. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what rights you have over it.
Who we are
Translations Global, of 118 Gracedieu Rd, Waterford, Ireland, is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. You can contact us about privacy matters at support@translations-global.com or by post at the address above.
What we collect
- Contact details you give us: name, email address, phone number, postal address.
- Order and project details: the service ordered, quantities, turnaround tier, language pair, document or content type, deadlines, and special instructions.
- Source documents and files you send us for translation, interpreting, transcription, or localization work, and the files we return to you.
- Billing details needed to process payment and issue a receipt or invoice.
- Basic technical data (browser type, approximate location from IP address, pages visited) only where you have consented to analytics cookies — see our Cookie Policy.
Why we collect it (our lawful bases)
- Contract: to quote, process, deliver, and bill for the service you order.
- Legitimate interest: to respond to enquiries, keep our records accurate, and improve the service we provide.
- Consent: for analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4), which load only after you accept them.
How long we keep it
We keep order records and billing information for as long as required for accounting and legal purposes under Irish law. Source documents and translated files are retained only for as long as needed to deliver your order and respond to any post-delivery query — typically no longer than 12 months after delivery — after which they are permanently deleted. You can ask us to delete your source documents sooner once your order is complete.
Who we share it with
We share personal data only where necessary to provide the service: with the payment provider used to process your order, and with any hosting or email provider used to run this site and deliver your files. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use client documents to train any AI model.
International transfers
Our processing is EU-based. Where a service provider we use is located outside the European Economic Area, we only use providers who offer an equivalent level of protection, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to certain processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent (such as analytics cookies). To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@translations-global.com.
Cookies
This site uses cookies and similar technologies. See our Cookie Policy for the full list of what we use, why, and how to change your choice at any time.
Complaints
If you have a concern about how we handle your personal data, contact us first at support@translations-global.com so we can try to resolve it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Irish Data Protection Commission (www.dataprotection.ie), or with the supervisory authority in your own EU member state.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
