Terms of Service
Last updated: 9 September 2026
These terms govern every order placed through translations-global.com. By placing an order, you agree to them.
About these terms
These terms apply between you ("the client") and Translations Global, of 118 Gracedieu Rd, Waterford, Ireland ("we," "us"). They apply to every service listed on this site: certified and sworn translation, legal, medical, business, and technical translation, website and software localization, interpreting, and transcription and subtitling.
Our services & "from" pricing
Prices shown on this site are starting ("from") prices, ex VAT, for the stated unit. The final price depends on the actual quantity, language pair, subject matter, turnaround tier, and any add-ons you select, and is confirmed in full before you pay. Language pairs outside our published EU-major set carry a 25% uplift, always shown as its own line.
Placing an order
An order is placed once you complete checkout and payment. You will receive an order reference by email. A contract for the ordered service is formed at that point, on these terms.
Payment
Payment is taken in full at checkout, in euro, inclusive of Irish VAT at the applicable rate. If you are a VAT-registered business elsewhere in the EU and provide a valid VAT number at checkout, the reverse charge may apply instead.
Turnaround
The turnaround tier you select (Standard, Express, or Same-day, or the equivalent tiers for interpreting and transcription/subtitling) is a target delivery commitment, not an absolute guarantee of a fixed clock time. We will contact you as early as possible if anything puts an agreed delivery date at risk.
The limits of a certified translation
A certified translation from us confirms the linguistic accuracy of the translation itself. It does not, and cannot, certify the authenticity or legal validity of the source document you provide, and we do not guarantee that any third party (an institution, court, or authority) will accept it, beyond the guarantee stated below. If a certified translation is rejected specifically on linguistic grounds, we will re-translate it at no additional charge, provided you notify us within 14 days of delivery.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for providing a legible copy of the source document or file, giving us accurate instructions on the target language and required format, and reviewing the delivered translation promptly and raising any concern without delay.
Cancellations & refunds
Cancellation, refund, and interpreting no-show terms are set out in full in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Intellectual property & confidentiality
You retain ownership of your source material and the translation we deliver to you. We treat every document and file as confidential, whether or not a separate non-disclosure agreement is signed; an NDA is available on request before you send us anything.
Liability
Our liability for any claim relating to a service is limited to the amount you paid for that service. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under Irish law, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland. If you are a consumer resident in the EU, you may also be entitled to use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform, available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr, to raise a complaint.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force at the time you place an order is the one that applies to that order.
